Trygve Ottersen appointed as new Director of the Norwegian Medical Products Agency

Trygve Ottersen has been appointed as the new director Director of the Norwegian Medical Products Agency (NOMA). Ottersen took on the role of acting Deputy Director of NOMA in June this year.

Ottersen has been on loan from The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) and received his final appointment in a meeting 27th september. Since joining, Trygve has been responsible for national supply security and preparedness, and he has already implemented plans for this important work as well as recruited new colleagues.

– I am very pleased to continue at NOMA. My motivation has only increased during my time here, thanks to the meaningful societal mission, the new tasks, and the many wonderful people I have already had exciting discussions with. I look forward to learning more and contributing to further development, says Trygve.

He will officially take up the position on November 18.

– I am very happy that Trygve is taking over the reins as director of DMP. He possesses professional expertise, drive, and is highly motivated to lead the organization and develop the Norwegian Medical Products Agency in line with the mission we received on January 1, says Director Audun Hågå.
